Some history!
Before this blag/blarhg/barf existed, I had a Chem test. This was also prior to the mid-semester break.
I got my test script back on the first Tuesday back from the break.
It is now the Sunday of the second week back from that mid-semester break.
/history

I looked at the model answers today. I was too busy with other tests/assignments to do this earlier. And, from the first question, I seem to have lost 4 marks (out of 12 for the first question, and the whole test is out of 50 marks) for nothing. :/
So…I want to ask about exactly where those marks went. But I also know that I’ve left it rather late. I suppose I will make the effort to ask. Especially considering that it will pull my grade up from B+ to an A.

It’s a bit contradictory to what I said about wanting to lower my GPA this year. While I do intend to study less and consequently lower the GPA, losing marks for nothing still bothers me. I want to have lower grades legitimately. I’m sure this makes sense. c:

Alrighty, now I’ll do some light studying for the next Chem test since my plans to study for the nearer Crim test has been foiled! This is owing to the lack of Powerpoints on CECIL bearing the notes I need but couldn’t take in class since I spend the whole lecture writing down what’s said, not what’s up on the PP.

[What I should be doing right now: Chemistry problems out of the textbook, and math exercises but there's no chance I'll even get up to the maths tonight...]

Had the test last night. Hmmm. They changed the format this year. The questions weren’t difficult, but the change threw me off and I panicked. That led to just listing off authorities and I spent too much time on the relevant law, and too little time in applying that law to the facts. Buhh.

Alrighty, back to Chemistry. I wish my textbooks were lighter so I could take them to uni with me…
I’ll get it out of short loan I guess.

I get excited after I list out the issues for a legal opinion that I need to write if I’ve done a good job identifying the issues I need to discuss and have a good idea on what authorities I will cite for each one.
I just teased out the issues for the 2009 semester test for law 211. I should probably go and write the rest of the legal opinion now but…blog post! :D

Hmmm. So the test is Tuesday night, 7pm. I can’t say that I’ve done ‘nothing’ to prepare since I went through the cases during the break and typed up the notes I had in my coursebook/handout. But, having looked at the 2008 test paper and a ‘model answer’, I’m feeling a little competitive.

“If I approached this properly, I could know the cases well enough to write something like that”. And yet, that undermines my goal to not put everything into studying this year…
/sigh

There’s still the 2009 test that I’ve saved for tomorrow. I’m making condensed notes at the moment. Well, actually at the moment I’m slacking off more by making this blog post. So these condensed notes will, hopefully, organize my thoughts a bit more and make it easier to find the relevant authorities on whatever issue(s) I have to discuss in the test. o_o;

The test is different this year though. The main question is worth 85% and it’s like the previous years’ question, but there’s also a 15% question. Oh well. It doesn’t matter. Not like I need to worry about doing well. ;P

Alright, now to continue studying.

What I should be studying now: Public Law, making condensed notes for the test on Tuesday.

Alright then. So it looks like my blog had ONE HIT today. o: ONE WHOLE HIT. Maaaan. How’d that happen? Anyway, I’ve got so much shit to do for this test…arhg. Gotta remind myself to study less. Yes, study less. Will explain WHYYY? later. Perhaps that will be what goes on my ‘About’ page. We will see!

That’s right. Here’s the first post. Since I ought to be studying Public Law at the moment, I’ll keep it at that. c:
